DIXIE

Breed: Lurcher
Age: 8 years
Gender: Female
Dogs?: No
Cats?: No
Children?: Over 16 years
Poor Dixie has been in and out of our care for years. Initially she came to us as her owner was leaving the country and since then we have struggled to find her forever home. She is very smart, active for her age, and likes routine. She is dog reactive - though her foster family work very hard at this and she can take part in on-lead dog walks nicely. Dixie needs someone to understand her and give her all the love she needs. With a set routine she absolutely thrives and her playful side really shows.

MABEL

Breed: Lurcher
Age: 7 years
Gender: Female
Dogs?: Friendly
Cats?: No
Children?: Over 7 years
Mabel (arrived with Iggy) came to us as a stray. We know nothing about her background at all. What we do know, from the few weeks she has been with us, is she's a real character. She is friendly, lively, confident, and very much ready to start her new life. Mabel could live with another dog or on her own, and could live in a home with children generally over 7 years of age. We are unsure if she has ever been in a home environment so she might need some basic house training. Mabel is truly a lovely girl.

JOLLY

Breed: Lurcher
Age: 2 years (Approx)
Gender: Male
Dogs?: Ok/sometimes
Cats?: No
Children?: Over 7 years
Jolly was found as a stray and no one came to claim him. He is a lively, young Lurcher who loves people. He is a bit hit and miss with dogs - some he likes and some he doesn't. This can be worked on with some basic training but we feel until that training is done he would benefit being an only dog. He is large in size and large in heart. He will be a real cuddle-bug and will love the sofa life.

WILL

Breed: Lurcher
Age: TBC
Gender: Male
Dogs?: Friendly
Cats?: No
Children?: TBC
Will is a big boy weighing in at nearly 40kg but he is the most sweet, calm, and gentle natured boy we have come across in a long time. His scars are reminders of a terrible life once lived, but he is now safe. Will is a complete cuddle-bug, fabulous in the house, great in the car, and an overall amazing dog. Though he may look intimidating, he is an angel and someone will be so lucky to have this boy in their life.

HONEY

Breed: Lurcher
Age: 7 years
Gender: Female
Dogs?: Yes
Cats?: No
Children?: Yes
Honey has only just joined the CSR family. What we know is that she is fully house trained, dog friendly, good with children, and a really pretty girl. She can also be left alone for 2/3 hours. We will add more information to Honey's profile as we get to know her more.

GAVIN

Breed: Greyhound
Age: 2 years
Gender: Male
Dogs?: Friendly
Cats?: No
Children?: Over 10 years
Gavin has come straight from the racing tracks. He is so incredibly affectionate and goofy - he makes us all laugh! Gavin loves bopping everyone with his snoot and has no idea what personal space means. Gavin loves playing with other Sighthounds and is a really well balanced boy. He will make a family very happy and provide endless laughter with his strange ways!

STACEY

Breed: Greyhound
Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Dogs?: Friendly with most
Cats?: No
Children?: Over 10 years
Stacey actually came to us along with Gavin. They can be homed together or separately. Stacey is another lovely ex-racing Greyhound. She is lively and absolutely loves playing with other Sighthounds. She is a great example of the breed and if you have lots of toys for her to play with, she will entertain herself for hours. Another fabulous dog needing her forever home.

WILLOW

Breed: Lurcher
Age: 5 years
Gender: Female
Dogs?: No
Cats?: No
Children?: Very friendly
Willow came into our care back in 2024 with a litter of her puppies. We rehomed all the puppies and Willow but now she has returned back to our care - such a shame. She adores people but really couldn't care for other dogs. With the right direction, she can easily be distracted walking past other dogs but she definitely wants to live as an only dog. She travels very well in the car and is great in the house. Willow just wants human love and a forever home like all her puppies got.
